Hello fellow ebay sellers. I would like to share with you a potential problem that all sellers face when accepting paypal. I have been selling on ebay since 1999 and there is nothing worse then being cheated by a buyer and having paypal take the customers side regardless of the circumstances. Since I sell alot of hubcaps on ebay, lets take this hypothetical example: Lets say I list a hubcap for a 1990 Chevy for $10, used and being sold as is. There is a clear picture of the item with a clear, concise description. Now a newbee ebayer,or any ebayer for that matter, bids on the hubcap and wins it. He pays me with paypal and I ship him the hubcap. Upon receipt, the bidder realizes he drives a 1967 Mercury, not a 1990 Chevy which is the type hubcap he bid on. Even though he made the mistake, if he contacts paypal and files a complaint they [paypal] will sieze my money out of my account, no questions asked. So this leaves me with no hubcap, and no money. Sound unfair? Of course it does because it is. Paypal is great for buyers but for us sellers it is an accident waiting to happen. I do not accept paypal and will not accept it until such time as they change their way of doing business. I know for a fact I am losing sales by not accepting it, but i would rather lose a few sales then lose my merchandise and payment to unscrouplous bidders and their silent partner in crime, paypal. I welcome any feedback on this issue, be it positive or negative and thank you all in advance for reading this
