try and contact any diaper company and they will not give you the ingredients in their diapers. why is that? aren't we allowed to know what our children are exposed to?
These consumer products are exempt from the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) requirement under the Hazard Communication Guidelines of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. If we are not allowed to know what our children have wrapped around their reproductive organs 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and the government either doesn't care or want to care then what are the disposable diaper companies trying to hide? what are they scared of?
I have the right to know every single ingredient that is in my medicine. it is provided free and without asking. even clothes are required to have the materials and percentages on their labels. i can even access my home towns pollutants and other health hazards. but the one thing my child...many many children are exposed to every minute of the day for up to 4 (or more) years is not public knowledge?
polyethylene and polypropylene plastic with bleached paper pulp, AGM (a gelling substance), petrolatum, stearyl alcohol, cellulose tissue, elastic, and perfume. that is just the ingredients i could find available on the internet.
check out this website this girl has done her homework. i am very tempted to copy and paste some of her information in my blog but i would like her to have credit for her hard work. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/269054/the_truth_about_disposable_diapers.html
