Hello.. as both author and collector, I own and have a contemporary WASHINGTON BUTTON with a remarkable story ! I had an article publised about it in the MILITARY TRADER magazine in OCTOBER issue of 2003. 'A BUTTONS ODYSSEY.  the button was unearthed in ENGLAND by a Canadian on property adjacent to one of a BRIGADIAR of royal ARTILLERY of 1812 ! If you write to 700 STATE ST.
