Ive always looked for new ways to attract catfish.So I was coming home from work one AM. and passed by a local pond and there was an older fellow fishing for catfish. So I asked him if he'd caught anything and he pointed to his stringer. so I took a look.He had 3 cats between 3-5 lbs.I asked what he was using and he said chopped steak and vanilla.(yeah,right)So he showed me and he was not lying.He said thats all he uses.So a week later I tried the combo and caught 2 nice cats.I was curious if the vanilla wasn't the catalyst of my good luck so I used vanilla and shrimp and caught 8 cats the next day 1-6 lbs.With the vanilla it usually takes 15 to 20 min. to get the first bite and then it stays pretty consistant.Well thats all Iv'e got right now,but as I become more enlightened I'll pass it on.I live in Illinois(central).
