I have purchased clothing on ebay in Lot's, NWT's, and EUC. I started on ebay in November of 2003. I've learned allot since that time and still am amazed when another problem pop's up! I have purchased clothes and then received them not in the condition that they were listed as. But, for the majority I have found seller's are honest ebayers and really friendly and easy to work with!!! I've rarely had a problem but they do come up!
Make sure that the condition of the clothing is described. If it is not email the seller and ask very specific question's. Many sellers will tell you after the sale -sorry you should of ask if the EUC item had holes or was very worn. In my opinion and several others. EUC means almost new with little or hardly any wear.Or, almost store bought new but worn a few times.
If you do not know already what the below abbreviations mean. I have listed them for you so you will have a clear idea of these abbreviations!
NWT = new with tags (new w/store attached tags)
NWOT = new without tags (brand new w/store tags removed)
EUC = excellent used condition (almost store condition worn a couple times)
GUC = good used condition ( consider these play clothes worn several times and lot's of washing and wear)
I have found that many new sellers or seller with an intent to deceive a buyer can list items and say they are new with tags. Then I find out they meant the size or shirt tag was on the item and they bought it new. These kind of problems with a new seller can easily be corrected through communication and I alway's give positive feedback and understand in different idea's when two individuals are working together.
But, the dishonest seller will rarely and almost never work a resonable settlement (why would they-they were out to deceive you in the first place)! I've came across seller's who are completely unwilling to work with. Grossly misrepresent item's and are out to intimidate or take advantage of buyer's. Nobody wants to have a negative feedback score or a bad experience. Ebay is suppose to be a fun place. And, it generally is a fun and safe place. But, on occasion you will meet that one bad apple! I'm thankful now that ebay has introduce the star rating system. This alow's buyers to leave postive feedback -and still rate the sale and avoid the very common retaliatory seller's negative feedback. Generally left by the seller from your purchase gone sour! Most buyers and sellers can alway's agree on a fair settlement and alway's remember human error happens (we are human right?)
***remember to never leave negative feedback before you try to resolve the problem with the seller first. Sellers will get very upset about their feedback and they will give it back to you regardless if they misrepresented items or are completely dishonest. So you need to be careful.*******
Now all that being said. I hope that you will alway's have positive transaction from online buying. But, I hope that this information can enlighten you to the possibilities of a purchase gone bad!
