There are many programs on the net that are offering this service for free and what these programs do is generate a code to unlock your phone. For example, I found the following program very easy to use and very handy - it called FREE Smart DCT-4 Code Calculator. There are more programs that are all pretty much the same, you can go to download.com and simply type the words 'unlock phone' in the search bar. First you need to download the program to your computer and after you download the program, run it. Then you will need to enter the Imei number, which is a serial number that you can find on the back of your cellphone, under the battery, or you can press on your phone keypad *#06# and the Imei will be displayed on the screen, (if you look under the battery it will look something like this: 253486/54/676745/1. Now that you have the Imei number, you need to enter it into the program without the dashes, only the numbers: Next you need to choose the country from where you are using the phone: After you select the country, you will see a box with an option to change the code type, which changes the way you will see the code to unlock your phone… It is recommended to leave it on 'V2 Codes'. Now you will need to press the button called Calculate Unlock Codes - the codes will be calculated and this is what you will see: It is strongly recommended to first use the Recommended Unlock Code. If that doesn’t work, then try the other codes. It is also very important to remove the SIM card from your phone before you enter the unlocking phone code. Plus you need to enter the code exactly the way you see it. For the letter "p" press the * (star) button 3 times quickly For the letter "w" press the * (star) button 4 times quickly For the "+" press the * (star) button 2 times quickly After you enter the code you will see a message: Code Restriction Off. If it doesn’t work you will see a message: Code Error. It is very important to mention that you only have 5 attempts to enter an unlock code. After that you will see a message Cannot Undo Restriction or Not Allowed.
