Leave the ink installed in the printhead.  Tape the print head in place so it doesnt get jarred. tape the lids closed and wrap with lots and lots of bubblewrap....If you take out the ink, the printhead will dry out and  will clog the head beyond repair....If it does dryout, sometimes just letting it sit full of ink may soften the clog.  More later on getting a clog out
