Hi! I just recently decided to go through my bookcase and get rid of TONS of cookbooks, self help books, craft books and more.
I've looked online and saw some of the books i wanted to sell on eBay. My problem was, I didn't know what they thought of the book, if they bought it new, or at a garage sale...or what exactly i was getting.
When listing books, it's great to use the ISBN number and get a lot of info out there about your book.
also, tell the viewers what you thought of the book, how much it was new when you bought it, and offer to show pictures of the exact book in case they don't trust the stock photo.
I usually don't like stock photos of items, but in books, I feel that unless there is damage to the book that NEEDS to be shown, using a stock pic is the best and easiest way to go.
I Don't plan on getting rich off selling books on eBay....I just plan to make a little room on my shelves and get some positive feedback to boot.
When selling books, offer MEDIA MAIL shipping..it's the cheapest, AND, the more it weighs, the cheaper it seems to be. Offer combined shipping....no one wants to pay $1 for each book then $4 shipping for each book...i recently sold over 6 pounds of books and media mail shipping was only around $4.00 TOTAL!!! It really gets the books selling when the bidder knows the shipping is going to be cheap and not overly inflated!
Good Luck!
