Last November there were many sellers that had a Nativity sceen for sale. I asl\ked one seller what material was used in the figures. The answer I received was "wood". The price in every case was $29.95 plus shipping and handling of $9.95. When I got my Nativity scene, it was obviously drop shipped from a manufacturer. Inside my package was an invoice, as if I were the seller. The invoice was for something like 7 dollars and shipping of 4 dollars making the sellers price 11 bucks. I was suspicious of the material used but it was painted very well, so I put it outside with some clear lights, to be more easily seen.
December was fairly rainy her. My so called wood Nativity sceen began looking like a washboard. It was made of press board, which is paper pressed together under pressure. That seller made over 25 dollars which is not unusual but, he or she lied about the material and I believe increasing the S & H on an item he never even held in his hand is like tubbung salt in to a wound
