Just want to pass on to others that one of my greatest sources for antiques, vintage furniture and items is the local thrift shop. I have found great items from Goodwill, locally owned shops, and especially the Salvation Army. The army doesn't list their items online while others do!
Check out your local thrift stores for your resources. Talk with the employees. Let them know what you are looking for... most are happy to help you find items. Hey, they don't mind if you are reselling.
In the last month, I have seen Eames, vintage modern Danish and so much more.
Goodwill had a great 1940s table. Yeah, I hesitated and missed that one. Ouch.
I am in Rockford, Illinois. Wherever you are, you will find deals!
Many thrift stores have weekly sales. ASK about them.
Another hint: if you are finding one certain "era" in a particular store, keep looking for the rest. Usually, items seem to be found in groups.
Happy hunting!
Maybe I'll run into one of you at one of the many treasure shops, thrift stores!
