I am not going to write this long drawn out article on this subject just want to add to an earler dated article I wrote and add a few things that we have seen. It appears that their are still many sellers out there selling what they call "GRAB BAGS OF UNSEARCHED COINS" many even have now started using the word "ESTATE" or "INHERITANCE" in their auctions.

Lets start off with the Estate or Inheritance scams. Many of these sellers claim to have inherited an amount of coins from a long lost family member, and have decided to sell these coins as either they don't collect coins or know nothing about coins. We have one word for that "BULL".  A perfect example: One seller is offering an Unsearched Grab Bag and will guarantee One coin from ech denomation with very few pennies. How can they guarantee this if the grab bag is unsearched. Exactly they can't. Another seller is stating that they are selling these coins from an estate that belonged to their Grandfather because they dont know anything about coins yet if you take the time to look at thier feedback this specific seller has been selling this same acution now for 3 years and 7 months. WOW one heck of an estate. when are they going to run out of old grandpas coins.

UNSEARCHED!!!! thats an interesting subject. How can they guarantee an unsearched lot when they are showing pictures of the coins you will receive or telling you what amount of each denomination you will receive, seems like the word UNSEARCHED doesent really make sence in that auction. BASICLY WHAT IS HAPPENING IS YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED. About a month ago we decided to see for ourselves before we wrote any reviews regarding this subject. We went to 3 different auctions and can't state the sellers ID 's here or we would, but believe me they all had te key words in the titles that we are discussing here. We bought one lot from each of these sellers. The results of our test are as follows:

1. Unsearched Grab Bag of Coins + Bonus - The grade given them is an F, what we got in our grab bags was 15 lincoln cents with only 4 being common date wheats, a 1952 Nickel, 1964 Dime, 1964 Quarter, and a 1963-D Franklin half. None of which were uncirculated. The bonus was every buyer will receive a U.S. Mint item free of charge. What we received was a 1972 Lincoln cent still sealed in the celephane from a U.S. Mint set where the seller had taken mint sets and cut them us to use as bonus coins. Total value for the $19.99 + Shipping that was paid for this lot didnt even make $5, nothing more then a scam. We also looked at the sellers feedback in each instance and this seller had received 221 negs in the last 6 months.

2. Estate Coin Grab Bags Need Money all coins must go - Well the grade given these guys was a D-, only because the shipping charges that were charged was about right for the amount of coins we received. Not because of what we received, needless to say their unsearched estate grab bag was a big hoax. It was the joke of the day. Very disppointed with this deal, and te sellers feedback was just as disppointing, with over 350+ negs in the last 6 months. Yet this seller is a pro because he is good at padding his feedback. But we will cover padding feedback in another review.

3. Our big scam of the day came from the unsearched lot of coins that came from empty beer kegs. WOW, this one has to be the ultimate of all grab bag scams. The seller mentions the word unsearched at least 20 times in this auction yet also tells you in a round about way what you will receive in your package. Now how can that be considered unsearched. it cant be. PEROID. NOT POSSIBLE.

Listen everyone we could all talk for hours about these guys scamming people but the bottom line is very simple "IF IT'S TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS". These simple rules will save you lots of time and money.

1. Check their feedback, as far back as you need to. Also check their buyers feedback who leave them good feedback, many of these buyers are ficticious buyers that are run by the seller themselves.

2. Look at the negs the seller has and see what others are saying, see if what they are saying seems to be the same complaint. If so then you can get an idea of what the seller is selling. A few negs is one thing as all sellers have buyers that can never be pleased, but when their bad feedbacks get into the hundreds then that tells you something.

3. Last but not least Just dont buy from these sellers and then their wont be people for them to take advantage of. Real simple, if you have an experience with one of these sellers then report them imediately to ebay. Dont get caught up with their scams. Also check out those sellers whose address for payments to be sent is a P.O. Box and they dont take paypal, just money orders. with these people you basicly have no recourse if you are scammed. If this review has been helpful please vote yes below for it as this helps us to determine what you are looking for as far as information. thanks again and happy ebaying.
