We have all seen it, listings with "Pro Painted Models." Upon looking at the pictures, the models look like they are dipped in paint, flocked and then put up for auction.
Here are a few guidelines to picking out painted models on ebay
- Choose a well known painter. Google such weel known painters as CJ Cummings, Bryan Shaw, and Matt Sterbenz to get an idea of what a true professional paint job looks like.
- Look for auctions from high feedback painters and studios.
- Look at the studios' website for more information about the painter.
- Finally, be forewarned that most painted model sellers out there will be willing to paint match another item to the one that you just won, but the prices will be exceedingly different.
I have enjoyed a long career of posting on Ebay, but only list overstock or armies or units I am no longer using. This is a great way for a new player, or seasoned vet to get a new start to the army of their choice.
Good luck and Happy Bidding!
