I had heard from a friend that the use of Media Mail was Alot Less Expensive, then Priority or Parcel Post, which in fact I found out for myself that it is Alot Less Expensive!! Imagine my excitement(Something less expensive) this day and age!! WOW!! Well, you've probably heard the saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, then it is", you should stick with that theory!

I had sold a lot of  Ten  Little Golden Books, 3 weeks ago, so I decided to try the MEDIA MAIL.  I wish I hadn't done that!! The lady contacted me two weeks later saying she hadn't received the books, I was astonished, so I did some checking, to my surprise I found people saying, it takes up to 3 weeks for Media Mail!! I thought to myself, OH NO.. This lady just lives in Florida. If I had sent it regular mail, the longest it ever takes is 3 days.

Anyway... I asked the lady to please try to remain patient and give it another week... Sure enough another week went by and still she hadn't received it. I told her I would go to the post office and see what I could find out.. I didn't have a confirmation number, nothing except the postal receit where I had mailed it. The Postal Worker then explained to me about Media Mail...he said,

     Media Mail goes by truck, it isn't flown, so it does take longer.. However the drivers wait until they have a FULL Truck Load before they leave!!!!!!! So, sometimes that takes awhile longer!!" He also said he does not reccommend Media Mail, he said he tells everyone they should either go Priority or Parcel Post. He then told me to explain this to the Lady and ask her to be patient, I said I think she has been more than patient now! The postal worker really was Extremely Helpful and I thanked him very much for explaining this to me.

So far it's been 3 long weeks and the Lady still hasn't received her books, she is a very nice person and has been so very patient, I appreciate it... She said she would give it to the end of the month and see what happens...... I will let you all know!

This just goes to show that saving a few pennies is good in a way, but it's not worth it when the buyer is stressed over not receiving the product, then in turn you end up stressed over it too. I wanted to let everyone know what"Media Mail is all about! I'm sure there are people who use it and have no problems, but there are LOTS that do! This is One Headache I can do without!! What about YOU?

PLEASE.... Think about it very hard before using Media Mail. In most cases you could deliver your package, yourself and get it there quicker!!
