I drive down the road and everywhere you turn are signs, do this, don't do that and if you do it wrong, and before you know it, you're in VIOLATION. Wow, you can't do much now days that your dubbed In Violation, well I found a new one on me recently, right here on Ebay!
Get this, I've purchased and viewed MANY items on Ebay for years just as I read all the newspaper want ads, the shopper ads, so on and so forth, and many many times I read the same words "LIKE NEW". I must admit these are generally good words, like a sign that this might be what I'm looking for. Have you seen "gently used" much in the want ads? Not I!
Well, I decided to sell an item that really really was like new, why? Because it was purchased new and because the person couldn't understand the technical stuff on how to download music to it from a computer, etc., they frustrated gave it to me to sell. So lets just say this item was used ONCE, sure its considered used, but to me its LIKE NEW, so I advertise it that way on Ebay.
NO NO NO, we took that listing off because your in VIOLATION!! And according to their first email, Ebay tried to say because so I forfeited my listing fee's etc. What a slap in the face learning this was to me!
Ok, just out of curiosity, I did a search of Like New on Ebay, it came up with 13,000+ items, many many with the words Like New in the title's. Oh yes, many of them were high dollar items like vehicles, you know the ones Ebay makes much more of them big bucks on. So I take a few of these listings and re-write Ebay saying, HEY, how come they get to use the VIOLATION words of LIKE NEW?? Guess what?? I was told that its allowed for vehicle sales and considered a "standard". Hmmmmm, NOW I'M REALLY CONFUSED???? Isn't this some sort of discrimination??? My guess is......because Ebay gets to make MORE MONEY off the auto sales and not my little MP3 Player!!
So Sellers, beware of Ebay's discriminating regulations and VIOLATIONS! Really souring me against using Ebay more and more. LEarning more and more!
