Finding "Just the Right Shoe" for your "Raine" by "Willetts Design" Collection
A darling series of only the right foot shoe, Raine has really captured the glamour and nostalgia of women's shoes. For some collectors, owning every shoe she has ever created is the ultimate goal of their collection. Some of the original retired shoes can now retail for about $1000! But what if yoru budget doesn't allow for that, not to mention your space? Most of us would have to narrow it down quite a bit to buying the shoes that speak to us aesthetically. Here I will give some guidelines on how to find just that special shoe to fit your personality and / or decor.
For the traditionalist or the romantic, Raine has crafted luxurious historical shoes. These shoes are often c. 1800s and feature gold tone detailing in elegant and swirling patterns. My personal favorite so far is Martha Washington's wedding shoe, which is a replica of the shoe she actually wore at her wedding! The detailing on this shoe replicates the silver threaded embroidery on the real shoe wonderfully.
Especially romantic are the opera and Florentine style boots in this series. Button up cuffs, often with faux pearl buttons, and floral detailing just beckon to be displayed along with equally opulent decor.
The ultra hip and modern woman will reel over the stiletto shoes Raine has produced. Weather it's Hollywood glam or a nightclub evening, these super chic and gorgeous shoes show like modern art, and highlight your fun and funky side. Arrange them on a striking bookshelf or floating shelf painted either black or white to contrast the shoes you are using for a display that really pops.
For the casual girl, an array of sandals would be just the right shoes to sprinkle around your house for a little bit of summer whatever the season. Springtime Romance is my favorite sandal so far, being pink with an eclectic faux jewel-encrusted foot and toe strap. You can find high heeled sandals, flip-flops, and even a Birkenstock-style sandal, the most comfortable of all! Many of the sandals have the bling thing going on, making them even more cool, because, what girl doesn't like a bit of bling? You could arrange the sandals next to an eclectic dish of seashells for an interesting display.
As you can see, Raine shoes speak to a variety of different collectors. It's all about those little details and your own personal style! Have fun collecting!
