OK, so I see a lot of people have purchased flat Irons labled "Bed Head" flat Irons. I am a cosmetologist and I am a devoted tigi fan.
Just to Clarify Flat irons or curling irons or blowdryers that are labled "Bed Head" are not manufactured the same as TIGI Hardcore branded items as sold in a salon. These "Bed Head" flat irons etc. are manufactured by Helen of Troy with permission from TIGI to use BED HEAD in the name to market outside of the Salon to appeal to consumers who don't ever buy salon sold stling tools.
(I personally don't like the whole concept because it is confusing.)
> These "Bed Head" flat Irons are typical of their price point. You can buy them at Target & I've seen them on sale, by the way. ranging in price from $29.99 to $69.99. I would assume most people know it isn't at all like a TIGI Hardcore flat Iron after the first use. (Hardcore flat Irons are comparable to any of the latest professional grade flat irons in the industry, CHI, ghd, Infrashine, etc.) these retail about 30% to 60% more than the ones available in Target and the results match the price. The Target sold "Bed Head" styling tools by Helen of Troy are all about being a pretty lure to get a consumer to say "oh it's Bed Head it must be good" and then they purchase it. The Quality isn't in the always in that name, its just brand recognition gimick to sell more cheap styling tools under a Brand Name for the recognition which give you the impuse to get it. Some of you will like or even love these tools, which is fine if its an upgrade from say a Remmington, or Conair branded styling tool. However, If you are a fashion conscience, trend savvy, quality seeking consumer and you want something made by the manufacturers of BED HEAD HAIR PRODUCTS you are really looking for a TIGI HARDCORE styling tool. tigihaircare .com is a good place to research anything BED HEAD, Catwalk, S-Factor, Hardcore, etc.
