Ebay is a great way to purchase original, top quality art work at a very reasonable price. I believe on-line auction, and on line gallery sites are the way of the future. More and more traditional art galleries are going to on-line sales and auctions. Us ebay artists have seen this coming for years. But why pay the "middle man" fees and charges. Purchase the art direct from the artist and save on the commisions. Typically you will pay about one third the price charged in most galleries. I have experienced that most customers re-frame the art work they buy from a gallery anyway. Another bonus is you can, in most cases, communicate directly with the artist. I know I am always happy to answer any questions about my art (or anything else you might want to talk about) through my daily email. I love communicating with my customers, and have met many fellow enthusiasts through my ebay selling. also, many people are intimidated about shopping at a traditional gallery (pressure). With on-line you can browse at leisure and there is no hassle from anyone. I will also return work that customers are not happy with---including freight fees. So I would shop with confidence on ebay.
