when setting up a tent or sleeping bag, its a good idea to use a ground cloth. most ground cloths are not cloths at all, they normaly are made from Silnylon, and Tyvek, and many people sell these on Ebay. one neat Sil nylon

ground cloth is a Neet Sheet, also found sold on Ebay, but tyvek is cheaper, and can be made softer and more lexible by washing them in a warm cycle for about 5 times, each time hanging them outside in the sun for an hour or more, then rewashing your tyvek ground Cloth

most tyvek is sold in 7 foot width, by the foot

so if one has a 7X7 tent one would buy 7 feet or more of tyvek by the foot. under a sleeping bag on top of your tyvek or silnylon ground cloth, a sleeping pad, these can be exercise pads, and or ensolite pads, usualy a little more expensive.  look for a pad that has roll up straps, to keep it compact for packing.

the sleeping pad will give one a much  more comfotable nites sleep while camping.

always check for sharp stones, and small twigs when setting up, if found remove them, and set up your grond cloth, so your tent, and sleeping bag is protected from dirt, and wetness, thus

lasting longer.

a good ground cloth will also keep you warmer
