every house should have a drill in it. but most people dont think about which drill is best for them. with a large range of power options on the market you need to think, what am i going to use this for and how much do i want to spend. if all you are going to do is little house hold jobs, there is no need for a 36 volt drill.
0-12volt drill: these are your everyday little use drills.you wouldnt want to build a deck using one of these, but they are great for in the house use. they are light and easy to handle for all ages.
14.4-19.2volt: this is the power rating that was the standard for the construction industry for may years. they offer great run time for the charge and have the torque needed to get big jobs done. these drills are much larger in size and weight, there for not great for little tight jobs in the house.
24-36volt: the newest power lines in the industry. they offer run times far greater then 18v drills and are needed by only contractors. they have enought torgue to make it realistic to drill into concrete with them.
like everything else a major factor in price, other then voltage, is the manufacture. the bigger name tool companys are priced higher, but the drills are better. a lot of the price for a drill is due to the battery. the more you pay for a drill the better the battery life is. the more torgue you get and the more holes you can drill per charge.
so when looking for a drill think about
A: how much am i going to use it?
B: how much do i want to pay?
C: where am i going to use it?and with those three questions u can see what u need in a drill
