There appears to be a lot of negative comment about this particular model and I am afraid I have to agree with much of it. The specification of the machine and its pricing means it should be a showstopper and this DVD recorder certainly is a showstopper - for all the wrong reasons.

The main problem with this machine is the lack of override on the opening of the DVD tray. Yes, this recorder will eat your DVD and refuse to open the DVD tray ("Blocked") if it doesn't like the DVD you have inserted. The only recourse is to send the DVD recorder back to the retailer, an expense and time consuming exercise which few people would find acceptable given the regularity of this occurence.

When the machine is usable everything seems to work well albeit a little noisily. Somewhere under the chassis there is an excellent machine waiting to get out but I'm afraid other factors mitigate against it and my advice would be to avoid this particular model.
