I was motivated by the new 'Host Invitation' feature in pcAnyWhere 12 (Note: 12.1 is compatible with Vista, 12.5 with Windows 7) to upgrade from an earlier version.  As in previous upgrades I allowed the program to save remote access settings from the earlier version.

After the update all seemed fine, but the 'saved' remote access settings would not function properly.  I finally discovered by trial-and-error that although the settings were present and displayed correctly I needed to re-create them as new 'Remote' links to get them to work.  I don't know the cause, but that was the cure and everything is working as expected.

NOTE:  The pc AnyWhere 12.5 installation DOES NOT properly install the 'Live Update' feature on Windows 7.  You can download and install it separately (At: http:==www.symantec.com=business=support=index?page=content&id=TECH140001, copy, paste and replace the "=' with '\')  .  Once installed it takes three live updates and PC reboots to get the software to the fully updated version of pc AnyWhere 12.5 and once downloaded on a lower memory PC these updates may take 20 min or more.
