This last christmas season, I worked briefly for fedex as a package handler 3rd shift during xmas.
I now know why I and you to, should always pay for insurance when shipping or receiving. Trust me, its all about quanity, not quality, heavy items stacked ontop of light, flismsy items, no wonder they get crushed, and even tossed through the air onto steel conveyor belts.
When it get really busy, conveyor gets full, just start pushing they onto the floor, goes back to the concept i guess of:: its not mine, who cares. Now i realize packages have to meet deadlines, but man, what a scary site.
So ALWAYS, ALWAYS INSURE.
Its not the delivery driver, its the sorters.
And yes, I said something several times to people in charge and got brushed off. I was a temp, so what did i have to lose.
