i agree that the majority of custo items listed on e-bay are fakes. i have purchased a couple of these myself and have been sorely disappointed by the stiff, thick paint, the cheap top-stitching and severe fading.

however, not all authentic custos are made in spain. i work for a high-end department store that sells custos. and i have purchased several custo shirts and dresses that were made in italy and in thailand.
