First understand ive been working on scooters ,mopeds,&motorcycles for 25 plus years.o.k.all makes almost all models.we started as a vespa dealer in the 70's moving on to yamaha in the 80's when Vespa left our country. Since then we have made our living doing service. By far the old vespa's are " The Best" 70 & 80's models. The jap scooters are the second best far easier to get parts for and extremely reliable. The stuff thats coming out today from china is complete junk! There are little or no parts available for chinesee scooters "especially body panels!" The korean bikes today are of the same quality of the japanesee of the 80's. Very good reliability and parts available. Most are copies of Honda or directly related to honda. The vietnamesee vespa's should always be avoided at any cost "complete junk!" unless you plan on doing a complete restoration of the entire bike! These bikes are basically sent over with a paintjob and nothing else. Top scooters of the day are still the jap's and the italions and followed closely by the koreans.
I hope you find this info. useful!
