I go on buying sprees occassionaly and might bid on several hundred items in one night. Often times I win hundreds of those items. I always pay instantly or within a day or two. I enjoy receiving all the packages over the next week or two unless my item comes without a packing slip or even a mention of the item number - my purchase has just been thrown in a hastily addressed envelope and mailed with no note or thank you or packing slip...I am sure many of you have received such and the good news is that the merchandise has been received.  If you have only bought one item or a few, it is probably no big deal, But if you have dozens or hundreds of purchases it becomes a nightmare: Lets see which of the hundred or so items and which of the ten pages of items in my win column is this item I just received so I can mark it received and send feedback....If I am lucky, I will find it within a few minutes, but normally by the time I spend up to 30 minutes looking for it...I have decided not to  buy from this seller again as it is not worth the hassle and I surely dont have the time.  When I finally find it, I am aggravated and    just give feedback and move on....the sad thing is that even if I love the merchandise, I dont have the time to deal with this seller.

   Now, I open package two and it is neatly packaged, has a packing slip or a slip of paper with the item number and maybe a thank you....I put the item number in  ebay search and in seconds I have it in front of me to mark received and to give feedback. If I really like the product I will  now look at this sellers other items and add the seller to my favorite sellers list for my next buying spree. Often since buying is addictive, I might still have the fever and do some impulsive buying  right then. Sellers that know me, can attest to that. 

I have mentioned  two scenarios here; both sellers sent the product in a timely manner....one was in a hurry and the other was professional. I gave positive feedback each time but one seller I discard and the other I buy from again.

As a seller, I realize it takes a little effort to package an item properly and also to spend the  time and money on ink and paper to print out a nice packing slip. It is so easy to do when you print your shipping label to print a packing slip at the same time. Ebay and paypal know it is professional and have made it very easy to do. I then take the time to write a little note even if it is only a handwriten thank you.  You can look at my feedback and see that I have just about as many repeat sales as I have unique sales. I have been in some kind of business all my life and I know that the best way to make it is to have repeat customers that you can count on day in and day out.  I have become friends with many of my customers and enjoy seeing them in my store again and again and again.....I would like to think that a good product, fast shipping and  professional packaging  with a packing slip is the reason they come back. It is the reason, I come back to your store.
