When it comes to conditioning a baseball glove Do Not use glove oil,.. baseball gloves that are saturated by applying any liquid type of "oil" make the glove or mitt almost twice as heavy and the leather will deteriorate quicker than it should,it also darkens the pocket /signatures so bad that you can't read the autographs ....there are many paste type glove conditioners on the market,...I personally like to use "WILSONS Pro stock Glove conditioner",it has Lanolin & Viamin E,,,it comes in a small white tub that looks like a hockey puck,it goes a long way and does not weigh down the glove,.... it can run around 4-6 dollars, apply it by following the instructions on the label and let the glove sit for a few days, it will not change the color of the leather,I recently purchased a Wilson a2000 that had sooo much oil I had to salvaged the pocket,, the rest of the glove which weighed almost 3 lbs... I threw away ,..Nokona puts out a tube of conditioner that works great too,...one last thing ,Mink Oil will weigh down a glove ,vaseline will do this too.. it collects the dirt and brick dust adding even MORE weight,,thank you for your time to read this guide,,good luck to you all on ebay,,Mike Z. "zman5775" P.S. don't forget to apply some conditioner inside the glove or mitt, this will help prevent cracking and checking on the palm area from hand prespiration..
