Ive ridden alot of different scooters in my time vespas ..lambrettas ..hondas. yamahas .on and on ...i personally prefer the 1985 and 86 elite 150 deluxe and ch150.same scooter ones digetal ones analog as far as dash guages go and one has a flipup headlight the other does not ..advantages.. small.. approx 210 ..220 lbs..step thru floor ...mechanical drum brakes. which stop just great and cheap to maintain vs hydrulic discs.. engine is watercooled with a cooling fan great in traffic ..was in traffic in hawaii bumper to bumper and stopped next to me was one of those new chinese scooters ..next thing the chinese aircooled new scooter overheated and siezed up ..to bad ..top speed approx 65 depending on how fat you are. fuel milage in the mid 70s... love foot brake as you dont have your hands tied up stopping . cool to drink a cup of coffee while riding slow and still being able to stop .or talking on cellphone if you have the need to...is very easy to service with out needing a shop for most repairs and tuneups....get a shop manual..parts are cheap ..E bay.. scooter clubs ..dealers.. independants.aftermarket..they handle very well balanced better then a vespa 150.. and most important will run a long time between major overhauls .some people have reported excess 40 to 50 thousand miles between overhauls on engine ..ive only got 25 thousand on mine and it runs great..they are very reliable the best ...and fun to ride ...down side ..finding a good one under a grand .. plastic parts the body. have incurred damage ..make friends with a body and paint man ..also cheap to insure ...cheap to regester..cheap to maintain.....i hope this helps
