So you want to own a guitar pick/plectrum of your favourite band? Great!

But unless you know what you're buying, Ebay is not a guaranteed way of getting an authentic pick.

Beware of the "Limited Edition" picks, they are not official.

Beware of promo picks ie Eric Clapton ones that are official but where sold at the merchandise stalls.

Beware of picks by Randy Rhoads, Cliff Burton etc that seem too good to be true - they are. And if someone printed

them up, think about how many other fakes are out there.

I have been collecting picks since 1987 when one was thrown right at me at a gig. To this day I love going to gigs and getting picks.

But knowing what to look for I see a lot of dodgy picks for sale.
