although some of the new pc games require a graphic card there is a bad side to it. I bought a graphic card for lego star wars the viedo game for $100 or $200 dollars. it ran very well but within a year it went up. I am not telling you not to buy a graphic card but you are taking a big risk. so when you find a pc game you like make sure you read the system reqirements first before you buy it.
