What I take from the label is the grading company and the grade. The rest is from the coin itself.
I saw on Ebay, the other day, that sellers were asking for 22,000 to 49,999 dollars for 2006 MS70 with the blue label of "EARLY RELEASES", stating that there are only 51 made. Well, maybe there are only 51 NGC labels like these, but there are milions of the 2006 uncirculated. I wonder if anyone in his/her right mind will pay that kind of money... And the same goes for to the 2006 w coins, no difference with or without the "EARLY RELEASES" blue label.
So, now, lets move to the 20th anniversary sets. I really dont understand why the US Mint even produced the set with the silver and gold barnished eagle coins. All these coins were already minted in 2006 one way or another with varying quantities. Stating that only 20,000 coines like these were minted is simply not true. Yes, only 20000 packages were made but the same die types were used to create the many other same 2006 w coins.
To me, only 2 coins in all the 3 20th anniversary sets are special, the reverse proof silver with the 250,000 mintage and the reverse proof gold with the10,000 quantity. All the other 4 coins ( 2 silver and 2 gold ) have been minted in much higher quantity.
