I did not write this guide, but it contains information that is very important regarding scams and frauds on Ebay, including scams on John Deere items. Please take the time to read it. Its very informative. "So you think you can't have your account hijacked because you are very careful. . .Doing a simple search on John Deere, Kubota, horse trailer or boats, and sorting them by the Newly Listed, I have found 37 hijacked accounts in about 6 hours work. These hijacked accounts had hundreds of scam listings. Here's one you should be VERY careful to watch out for: when opening up to view one of these scam listings, a new eBay log in window appeared, as if I had lost my connection to eBay. BEWARE - it looks EXACTLY like the eBay log in window. BE SURE that it says http://signin.ebay.com on your address bar at the top before entering your ID and password. Otherwise, you will be giving up your account also. This one showed up as cpi.signin.ebay.com which directs your log in information to another website. The other real popular one is an email from PayPal stating that you have purchased something, and if this was unauthorized click here and enter your data for a full refund. This looks exactly like a PayPal email. IT IS NOT. Do not click on anything; just FORWARD these emails to the spoof address given for eBay and for PayPal, then delete the email. EBay is a wonderful domain which has greatly benefited us all, but we need to proceed with great caution and care."
