When you go to buy a bra your first step is to  buy ; to take with you  a measuring tape a sewing kind that can be rolled up into a small little round circle  .    Then you either take mon or a aunt ,the best choice is a very good friend who is honest with you .       One that will honestly say what they think.    You can go to  place that has a fitter in the store or remember some places have a  sale they have to make or sale  quota for the day.   If you take you friend with you and the measureing tape you should do fine.          Now the person that is in lingeria or the fitter on hand will be very helpful to help you narrow down your choices ,so you do not have to try hundreds of bras . Tell them to check back in about 5 minutes that your are measuring yourself, or you can let the fitter fit you .    I just think you will not get pushed into buying what bra the fitter wants to sell you - you will get to look at different ones first ,then who knows you may choose the one to be best for you from the ones the fitter brings in.    When  they come back to see  you are ready to see some bras , tell them if you want underwire or no underwire or both.- -then the size around as the cup size--then tell them if you want lace ,stretch lace ,cotton  or if you would like a choice of each-- do you want a pretty special bra to wear for special occasions or a good support bra to wear to work every day.    There are now good slections for sports bras.   The staff  has to put things up,  will like that you get them to help for this part.     Now have your friend measure you with your old bra on .              It does not matter if it fits properly or even if it is old and worn out.  --     now measure  the bottom band of the old bra-now add usually 5 inch to that number to get your bra size.    write the numbers down ,so there won't be any question about what it was later..   A lot of people wear the straps to tight and the back to loose ,which makes the back of the bra hike up in the back  .This usually makes wearing the bra uncomfortable..bali olga are just a few good choices who have good daily wear and good special occasion bras .  You also have bras that make you look larger or smaller busted in shape .  So many choices and it has been years since I worked with them   ,Iam sure the choices and name brands are many many more out in the market today.    Then you can have the fitter check the fit to make sure the bra is a good fit.     I can write more on that and comfort -taking care of your bra to help it last longer and to keep it from loosing its shape to fast.      The old rule of thumb was a new bra every 6 months and usually 2 special bras 4 or 5 work bras ,good support bras for daily wear. many other details at a later time.   Thanks for taking thet ime to read my knowledge on bras even though times and styles may change some things stay the same-  .                                                                    I also helped with surgical and wedding or formals  and special needs fitting undergarments   .                                                          I  also know of ways to take up bras when you have weight loss or to  add  extenders to the back when you need a little more bra or some addition length to the bra. these can be made from hooks and eyes at the fabric  store ,or purchased allready made.

Now measure across the highest point of the bust and all way around to the back ,be sure to keep it straight as you go around .It should be athe same place in back write it down -wheres that paper ok now that you found that paper ;be sure to keep up with it ok? Subtract  the two numbers write down the number that is the differece othe two you got when you subtracted.---                                   if got a number 1 ,then you are cup size A or around a A maybe AA orAAA.I                                                                                            if it was 2 inch difference then you shoulbe a B cup and so on.--now if you have a round ness inyour back you may have to add what is called a extender which is very reasonable.You can also go to a sewing store and purchase a strip of about 3 rows of hooks and eyes -take your bra with you to compare the width.if you or some one sews this works well.                                                              Well till next time take care and if you need a simple version of this some librarys have a guide inthe young adolesence section about the body growing and the changes .---------------------------------------these do not work for all they are jut to be a guide.
