This guide teaches installation of golf car fender flares.  The specific example is for late model ezgo golf cars.  Principally the procedure is the same for the three styles available.  We sell all of these fender flare kits in our eBay store.  Styles include: EZ-GO late 1994 to 2008, Club Car 1993 to 2007 DS, and Yamaha models G14 G16 G19 G20 G21.

Tools required
  • 1/4" drill bit
  • cordless driver or variable speed drill
  • 5/32" allen wrench
  • 7/16" wrench
  • two small "C" clamps

Each piece is custom molded to fit the car body.  All secured with stainless steel hardware: bolts, washers and nylock nuts.  Bolt head and washer are exposed, nylock nut is hidden to the inside.  Place fender flare into position, secure with "C" clamps.  Bolts go through a 1/4" diameter hole which must be drilled through both the flare and the car body.  Start with the center most hole location.  Hole position is an eyeball measurement.  In the first hole drilled secure the flare with the bolt, washer and nylock nut.  With one bolt attached and clamps on the ends you may now drill the rest of the holes needed.  Secure flare with hardware.  Repeat procedure on remaining three flares.

In the ezgo application the flares are 3" wide in the front and 5" wide on the rear.  Installed on an ezgo these increase the overall width of the car by about 6" in the front and 10" in the rear.  As shown in the pictures these flares are compatible with many other different accessories.  Its not necessary to install any of these other improvements for these flares to mount.  This particular example is on a 1999 ezgo with a 5" lift kit installed.  22x11-10 tires on 10x7 offset wheels.  The diamond plate running boards do not interfere with the flares.
