VOTE "YES" AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!

A month after purchasing my new 2001 Hayabusa, I was ready to make some changes.  As much as I liked being able to hear the whining of the cams with the factory mufflers, I also enjoy hearing the rumble of a inline-4 engine.

After alot of research, questioning Hayabusa owners with different exhausts, and listening to numerous sound clips, I decided to purchase the Yoshimura RS-3 slip-ons, in titanium.  I chose the titanium set because it more closely matched the aluminum frame and swingarm of my stock bike.

It wasn't long after the 20 minute installation took place that I was firing that engine up to see what I had.  WOW!!  The rumble at idle was alot deeper than what I thought and when the engine was revved, the Yoshi's really made me smile.  I ride with two other guys that also own 'Busas and they like my Yoshi's better than their FULL systems.  One has a full Akropovic 4-1 and the other has a D&D 4-1.  I don't blame them...I think mine sounds better, too.

The other thing I like about the slip-ons, is that you keep that "balanced" look that you'll lose with only one muffler.  I added a couple of pictures below so you can see them on my bike.  (Check out the third picture and that bad a$$ keychain!)   I have also been running mine WITHOUT a Power Commander, so don't waste your money on one unless you go to a full exhaust.  My local bike shop remapped my stock computer for $65!  As far as power gains go, if you are looking for huge horsepower gains, FORGET IT!  Your friends will tell you that you'll get 15-20 hp gains....it just isn't true.  I haven't had mine dynoed with the new mufflers, but I'm sure you won't see but maybe a 3-5 hp gain.  But the weight loss and the sound makes these well worth the purchase price.

The mufflers still have their BRAND NEW look after 12,000 miles and I haven't had the first problem with them.  Also, If you ride with a passenger, you won't have to worry about those hot mufflers, either.  I can ride all day, and I mean RIDE, shut the bike off and immediately touch these TITANIUM mufflers on the sides and can leave my hand on there!  The chrome clamps and tips are hotter, but you won't be getting that nasty burn on the inside of your legs like you'll get from other pipes.  Don't try that with the chrome, stainless or carbon fiber set!  You'll regret it!

I am always ready to talk about motorcycles....if you have any questions, please feel free to email me.  Just go to one of my items under Blue-Busa and click "ask seller a question".  I hope that this has helped you be able to make a decision.  Please rate my reveiw so I will know how helpful it is.  THANKS!!
