WATCH OUT THE SCAMS ARE BACK CHECK OUT ITEM #220103362087 IF IT'S STILL UP. HECK, IT'S EVEN THE SAME PICTURE USED LAST YEAR. BEWARE. I'm new to boating and I am looking for a smaller Seay Ray powercruiser. I have seen several here on Ebay. However, I have come across two that I believe to be scams.  First of all the price is too good to be true, ie a 2001 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer with only 52 hours for 16900, taxes paid and delivered. I emailed this person and asked where the boat was located because I wanted to go look at it and I would bring a certified check and arrange for my own delivery and taxes. How could you lose, right?  The person responded with a simple "NO THANKS" He wanted payment through Western Union, then the tranacation would be completed "safely" through Ebay. I have been a somewhat experienced Ebayer for several years and it DOES NOT work that way. Never pay for anything through Western Union especially a large purchase.  The listing on the above item only lasted two days then it was taken down and I have not heard from the seller. The old cliche holds true "If it's too good to be true, then it isn't true." Hope this helps. Anyone with questions or similar experinces feel free to email me through Ebay username "metallicat-66" Good luck and stay safe. Update...I have seen this scam now several more times each time with a different userid. A couple of them were even the same boat. One $90,000 plus boat had a "but it now" for only $9000. I have contacted everyone of them and have made every offer I can think of to purchase these boats. Even offering to drive across the county with cold hard cash just to view the boat. But, they will never tell me where the boats are and most of them say they are out of the country. One person stooped so low as to tell me in an email that the boat was his son's who was killed in Iraq two months ago. And that the boat was his gift to the memory of his son. Sickening isn't it? Thanks for looking and again good luck.  THE ONES WHO VOTED THIS GUIDE WAS NOT HELPFUL ARE OBVIOUSLY THE SCAMMERS.  THANK YOU TO ALL THE HONEST EBAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Since this guide has been up and running, I have not seen the scam now for some time.  Maybe we got rid of these LOSERS for a while.
