Here I am going on 18 months of owning a Scion XB in Thundercloud Silver Metallic with an automatic transmission. To date...Zero problems! I have added over 50 LED lights to the interior and exterior of the vehicle! I have white & blue on the inside and all white on the outside. I've also added carbon fiber power mirrors with LED running lights and turn signals, these required a little bit of trimming but look great! I did have to get used to their smaller size at first though. I've also added the factory rear spoiler, armrest, floor mats, cargo mat, Bazooka sub-woofer, long ram intake with K&N filter(this did set off a code for lean engine, but went away after several times), factory aluminum wheels, billet 3 piece grill set, XM radio, stainless sill plates, rear bumper applique from the 4.0 model and cool looking replacement headlamps(dual with LED running lights).

I painted the running gear and most the whole underneath of the car on the 5th day of ownership with bright green engine enamel which has held up well with no repaint needed as of yet! I also purchased the extended warrenty, which being my first new car seemed to be a waste of money since I do all of the mechanical work myself. I just wanted the reassurance of an extended factory warrenty. After all of the extra's, taxes and dealer crap...I paid $17,610 out the door financed for 3 years. I could have saved around a thousand bucks had I avoided the extra warrenty and electronic rust protection.

What can I say about it after 18 months? I'd do it all over again! Yeppers! This is hands down the best car I have ever purchased to date! This is also my first non Big 3 car also. Toyota has done a great job on this. My mileage reflects my driving, which is mostly in traffic, with about 60% highway and 40% local driving. I average around 28.7 MPG, I'm also a heavy footed driver! This is awesome for me, I've never had anything get this kind of mileage...not even my old Pinto...LOL.

I also have accumulated 28,000 miles now, am religous about dealer service since the prices really are competative. I have had all work done to the book on my service schedule to date. I do however use synthetic oils now and will continue to do so since I've used them in my motorcycles for the last 6 years!

The only thing missing in this car is proper sound insulation! I've used self adheasive panels for the floor, doors and roof. Now the car is so quite it's great! the sound system is fantastic. the seats are very firm and comfortable. i just purchases the leather seat replacement covers from Ebay and will install them soon!

The acceleration is really good for a little car! it's got the pep I need, hauls four over 6 foot adults with lots of leg and shoulder room! It's very nimble in traffic, great brakes for stock disc/drum setup.

I give this a 9 out of 10 only due to the noise level before adding the insulation to all of the panels. the A/C is great, steering is easy...what more can I say!

I reccomend the Scion XB 100% hands down as a used or new vehicle with a great service record and fantastic Scion dealer employees!
