Restoring a classic? Building a Rat Rod ? Customizing a Street Rod ? Then save hundreds by using a Universal Wiring Harness.

How can I use a Universal Harness ? Won't using a universal harness be incompatible with my make or model?

You can because all motor vehicles share a few things in common, an Engine, Headlights, Turn Signals, Brake Lights, Charging and Ignition systems, Accessories and Gauges. All a fuse block or panel does is provide a fused power source for all those circuits. All you need to rewire any classic are some basic directions, tools and an original wiring diagram for your vehicle. You will need to have the old harness to use as a template, and will have to reuse anything model specific off your old car. Especially plugs, connectors, and any sub-harnesses for Wipers, A/C, Power windows, etc..

How can this possibly work on any car?

Simple a switch is a switch, turn signals, headlights, ignition systems, starters, they couldn't care less what switched the power on. All you have to do is run the leads from the EZ2Wire Harness to the existing switches, steering column, lamps and accessories. Most universal harnesses have all the wires color coded, labeled and numbered as to where they go, so its pretty fool proof. I.E. the left front turn wire goes to the left front turn signal lamp no matter what car it is.

Will I have enough circuits?

Yes.. most factory harnesses were really limited and combined a lot of items on the same circuit. Most universal harnesses have individual circuits for each seperate item. Some harnesses like the EZ26 from EZ2Wire has so many circuits you would be hard pressed to find enough things to wire it up with. Just be careful some harnesses like the EZ12, and other 8 and 12 circuit universal harnesses are meant for Jeeps, or Race cars, and have only the basic circuits, so they ont have anyhting for radios, or much of anything other than the engine, and lights.

If you have any furthur question feel free to contact me via my store and I will gladly help you pick the right harness for your project.
