Auto shipping Is an expert job and can be a simple and secure process in the right hands. Your first task should be a suitable qualified company that can manage your car transport for you. Please be sure to ask for copies of FMCA paper work and insurance on all carriers before you do business with them.

These are a few questions and answers, that are often asked and may help you, if it's your frist time shipping a vehicle.

Question: What kind of truck does my car go on?

Answer: Normally your vehicle will be loaded on a 10 car carrier.

Question: What are the normal delivery times of a transport?

Answer: Depending on the destination of your vehicle, it could take from 3-10 business days.

Question: Can my car be covered on the truck?

Answer: No, your car will be transported on the same kind of carrier that hauls new cars to the dealership. You can request an enclosed shipment of your vehcile.

Question: What do I do If my vehicle is damaged during shipment?

Answer: The most important thing to remember is to note the damage on the bill of lading when your car is delivered. The bill of lading is the drivers original inspection that was done when the car was picked up . You should make sure you sign the bill of lading and inspect the car when it is delivered.

Question: Can my car be picked up on an exact day?

Answer: Most carriers will give you a 24-72 hour  window of time in which they will pick up the car.

Question: How far in advance will I need to book my order with the transporter?

Answer: Most transporters would like at least two weeks notice prior to shipment.

Questions: How many days will it take to arrive?

Answer: Normal transit time from coast to coast is within two weeks assuming you have given prior notice.

Question: Do I have to pay a deposit?

Answer: No, however it is industry standard to secure a deposit from you to insure your sincerity to ship with them and some companies may ask for payment in full prior to shipment. Ultimately you will have to pay in full before your vehicle is unloaded off the truck.
