I bought a 2001 Camaro, the car was listed as having no problems, the car seemed fine looking at it, but it was pooring rain at the time, hard to thorughly inspect it like that. But, after leaving the dealership, driving home, front turn signals didn't work, front marker lights don't work, instrument panel lights didn't work (I had to reattach the plug wires from the light switch to the instrument cluster), traction control doesn't work, driver's side speaker doesn't work, driver and passenger side windows would go up all the way without manually pulling the windows up. No spare tire or jack. check engine light came on a couple hours after leaving the dealership on my way home. The car has a branded title but the dealer stated in his ad that the car was not salvaged, but a report from the dealer along with a carfax report states the car was salvaged, so all Chevy dealer warranties are void, including federal emissions warranty.
After arriving home with the car, I took it to local Chevy dealer to have it checked, check engine light is because both catalytic converters are bad and require replacing, both window motors require replacing, marker lights and turn signal lights were shorted and required rewiring, traction control module requires replacing, driver's side speakers require replacing--
This is definately not the "car with no problems" that the dealer advertised. The dealer was also supposed to send me another key for the car that was still in the possession of the previous owner, but, three weeks later, no key and the dealer doesn't care about the problems that the car has--he said "that is what you get when you buy a used car". Actually I think it is more like that is what you get when you buy a used car from him.
