Just the other day I was looking online for a Polaris Ranger 4x4 .  Brand new they are about $12,000  I checked on ebay and found one for $2850.  yes $2850  for a 2006 4x4 model.  I wrote about it ( they had a seperate email address said they could not access their ebay account where they where ) they wrote back promptly saying they where in england and that bidpay was holding the polaris for them and if I sent the money WESTERN UNION that bidpay would ship the Polaris to my house.  They even sent me a fake receipt with a fake  number on it.    I went back and forth with this person about policies on ebay etc and called bidpay and gave them the # I was given,  he said no it is a SCAM  and they don't ship nor do they have a warehouse.  They act simply like paypal.....  So I told the guy this was a scam and forget it.  He actually wrote back and said he doesn't know who I spoke with at Bidpay but he is legit and he assures me everything is legal etc.  I wrote back and told him he was running a SCAM   I then decided to check on some more units and you would not believe all the ones I found.  Just in the hour or so I was on ebay I found 6 more  ...... yes 6   all saying they where in europe somewhere all asking less then 3000 for the units ( worth 12000 )  all free shipping and all sending the money WESTERN UNION.   Oh and they usually ask you to make sure to say you are sending the money to a friend or relative and not for a business transaction.  Some of the others said that ebay them selves where holding the units for them in ebays warehouse in San Jose.   PLEASE PLEASE read ebays warnings and rules  it will save you a big hassle.  Mainly take note of the price.  if it seems too good to be true it most probably is.  Then if they ask you to contact them on a seperate email address ( usually Yahoo or aol ) then that is another red flag.... if they want the money sent western union then that should be the final straw!  Dont do it!!  I did more checking and some of these people have boats, jet skis, horse trailers, quads, motorcycles etc etc etc.  ALL with prices $3000 or less  ALL asking for payment through Western Union......  Don't get caught in one of these SCAMS  Research before you buy!!  I did and saved myself $3000.00   This one seller also had a boat for sale asking under $8000.00  the boat was worth well over $25000.00  always the same excuse  they live in Europe and it costs to much to ship to England or where ever they are!

Be careful out there!
