BEWARE OF SECOND CHANCE OFFERS SENT TO YOUR E-MAIL AFTER AN AUTION CLOSES:
Being new to E-bay I recently bid on a 1997 Sea-Doo personal watercraft. I did not win the auction. Shortly after the auction closed, I received three different e-mails (two of which had the E-bay logo), asking me if I would like to purchase the item as a "Second-Chance Offer". I knew from checking the listing once it closed that I had not won, and also noticed the purchaser had already made payment based on the positive feedback that was left by the seller. All three of the e-mails asked me to contact the individuals via their e-mail address, not through E-bay. That should always be your first clue. If anyone wants to do business outside of E-bay, I would not do it. There is to much of a chance for fraud. These e-mails appeared to be actual Second Chance Offers from E-bay. They are not. These frauds continue to appear because some people will fall for them. Please don't be a victim to these crooks. If someone offers you a Second Chance, check it closely before you act, and never send anyone money through Western Union or any other service of that sort. If you do, that money is gone. I'm sure these scams are not limited to Sea-Doo's so beware. These people are just trying to get you to send them money. They don't own the item and will not send you anything.
