CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is considered more environmentally friendly compared to gasoline or diesel fuel. CNG will cost you considerably less than gasoline. If you live in Utah, the price of CNG per GGE is $0.85 and in Oklahoma the price of CNG per GGE is around $0.90.
If you can find a bi-fuel CNG vehicle, you do not have to worry about finding a CNG fueling station. You can run it off of gasoline until you find a CNG fueling station. You can check out CNG locations and prices at www.cngprices.com or at the US government site http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/infrastructure/locator.html.
Some companies have put out home refueling kits. These kits are installed at your home, and you refuel your CNG vehicle from the comfort of your own home using the Natural Gas supplied to your home. It costs somewhere between $1.30 and $1.50 per GGE. This helps if CNG stations are hard to find around your hometown. If you are interested in refueling from home then the Phill system made by Fuel Maker is your best bet. You can find the Phill Refueling System at www.fuelmaker.com/phill.
