I have owned Saab since 1993 and I currently have two. A 2005 9-3 convertible with 37,000 miles. Never had a problem. Drives even better now after I replaced Pirelli tires with Michelin pilot PS2 Sport. Also have a 1995 convertible V6 with 226,000 miles on original engine and transmission, never rebuilt !! Just take care of it and take it to the right person. Change oil/tansmission fluid/brake/radiator fluid/fuel filter at proper intervals and use good quality oil and never use sub-standard generic parts. My "old" Saab still gets complements with its shiny black original paint and I blow people away when I tell them how many miles are on it. Guy in earlier post said he kept taking his Saab to the same dealer and new problems kept popping up. Not all service departments at dealerships are honest. They get lots of $ for warranty work from manufacturer. A coupe of years ago, some mechanics got arrested at a Volvo dealer in my area for creating problems with cars at the shop. So if you have 30 different problems after going to the same dealer, use some common sense and take it somewhere else.
