I bought a Kenmore elite washer five years ago.  I bought the washer because of energy efficiency and low water consumption.  The washer and dryer have lived up to this but the computer that operates the machine is faulty.  The buttons that cause the machine to announce when the clothes are clean or dry will not turn off  short of disconnecting the machine from a power source.  If left unchecked the computer gets confused and will not cycle the clothes.  This is true for both the dryer and the washer. 

I called a repairman, not a Kenmore repairman because they want $400.00 to $500.00 to make a house call to change out the card that directs the computer.  The repairman I called took one look at the machine and informed me that it would continue to give me problems because the computer boards that are installed at the factory are faulty.  He attempted to replace the boards but the machine continues to beep unless it's disconnected.  He then contacted Kenmore and they refused to give him the information he needed to assist me. 

I am writing to warn others not to buy this machine.  I would recommend Maytage, LG or any of the other machines on the market.  The Kenmore Oasis is a money pit.
