This Guide is to help in the installation of knockoff style wire wheels or rims on your vehicle.

After you get done admiring the new set of wheels you just bought from Wheels 4 You, and you get your new wheels mounted on tires... It's time to remove your old factory rims and tires. Jack up your vehicle, and get those old lug nuts off. Take off your dirty old wheels and get ready for a new look.

Now time to get those shiny new wheels on!

First take the adapters out of the box. They are the parts with the threaded center, and lug holes on them. They are color coded, red and white. The color determines which side the adapters will be mounted. Red goes on the right side (passenger), White on the left side (driver). Once you get the adapters sorted out, place the adapter on the vehicle according to it's color. Once you get your adapter put on the lugs. Put your lug nuts on and tighten them.

Now place the wheels onto the adapters. Once the wheels are sitting on the adapters, line up the teeth on the back of the wheel with the teeth on the adapter.

Now you will need to put on the knockoffs, or spinners. The knockoffs are also used on a specific side of the vehicle. Check the markings on the knockoffs to find out which side you are holding. As with the adapters, right goes on passenger side, and left on drivers side. Before installing the knockoffs, put some anti-sieze, or lithium grease on the knockoffs to assure they won't sieze up on you. Now, place the knockoff onto the correct side adapter, in the center of the wheel. Screw the knockoff hand tight. Now for the fun part.

Get your lead hammer ready, and start beating those knockoffs tight. You will want to tighten them as much as possible, so beat them on until they don't move any longer. You will want to recheck the knockoffs after putting some miles on the wheels. Get out and retighten them with the hammer after approx 50-100 miles. After that, you will want to check them every so often to be sure they are tight.

Now that you are done, GET OFF THE COMPUTER!! Get outside and start riding on your new wheels, enjoying all the new attention you get.
