Recently I have noticed in the motorcycle listing under Sportsters that some are being listed as 1200's and later in the discription you find it is a 883 modified. Harley Davidson does not care what you do to a motor if the frame number identifies the Sportser as a 883 then the value is that of a 883. Some people have bought the modified 883's as 1200's only to find if they trade for another Harley the dealer will discount the new one for a 883 only. Of course the difference can be several thousand's of dollars so BEWARE, check the frame # with the manufacture for proof positive you are paying what you should. remax4
