I have bought more than my share of quad runners on eBay.

In the last 8 months I have reported at least 15 to 20 fraudulent listings to eBay and they have all been investigated and removed.

You probably have noticed that most late model, clean ATVs sell for at least NADA retail value and sometimes more. Occasionally you can buy one for less than retail book.

In every instance of a unit being advertised for a buy it know price that is much less than retail book it is a scam, this is your first tip off.

The second  tip off is the restricted listing.  You cannot Buy it Now until you are placed on the approved buyers list.

The third tip off is that you have to contact them at a non eBay address as their eBay mail box is full or not working. 

The fourth is you have to have it shipped to your house and they will pay the shipping.

All these bunko artists want is your deposit.

As of this date ,6/2/06, there are at least 5 fraudulent offerings in the ATV listings.

Even though I am an old man with 4 grandsons I love ATVs and am always looking for a good deal. I have been buying quads on eBay since November of 2005 so I hope that those of you that are new to Ebay will profit from my experience.

Never buy something from some one that wants you to contact them outside of eBay and never think you are going to get a quad for half price. IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN. Do not let your greed get the better of your common sense.
