If you are in the market looking to buy a new Harley Davidson, take a moment and look at the all new Superglide Custom or just the plain Superglide.  There are a lot of new changes on the new Dyna models that will simply amaze you.  New for this year are the massive front forks, 160mm rear tire and a super smooth 6 speed transmission, to top it all off a completely rubber mounted driveline.  I made the decision to buy the Superglide Custom because of all of the factory installed chrome, the engine and trans has a silver powder coat finish and really sets all of the chrome off.   Fire up the engine and you have your typical twin cam (silent, because of all of the new imposed EPA regulations) rumble.  The engine shakes but the frame stands almost still.  The days of the "shake the fillings out of your teeth" at a stop sign are gone.  I will definately be upgrading mine to the forward controlls, because that is what I preffer.  The bike handles flawlessly, the only real complaint I have is a sqeek in the front brake as you push the bike.  I have asked several people about this and I am told it is normal.  A word of advise to everyone, DO NOT believe the stories about how you HAVE to take your bike to the dealer for the 1000 mile break in service to keep the Factory Warranty.  I personally called the Harley Davidson factory and talked to a really nice rep by the name of Christine, she informed me as long as you keep your receipts and write your milage on them to show you are following the service intervals it WILL NOT void your factory warranty.  Same goes for the oil changes every 5,000 miles.  I have talked to several custom bike builders and asked their thoughts on running the synthetic oil in the bike for the crank case, transmission and primary.  One of these builders, who builds $18,000.00 custom race engines (for Harleys) told me NOT to start running the synthetics for at least the first 5,000 miles.  He said allow the engine to get "broke in" first.  I am going to follow his advice.
