Follow these steps to connect install and configure a PTZ Camera that operates on the Pelco-D Protocol:
First ensure that the all of the following components are included in the PTZ box: Wall Mount, Gloves, 24v Power Adapter, RS-232/485 Adapter, Camera, PTZ Housing, and PTZ Dome Cover.
Due to image size constraints, we cannot post larger images that show how and where to connect each wire. Please contact us for more details.
Only one PTZ camera present: The only switches that are set to the "ON" position are Dip Switches 2 and 8 on the longer of the two red switch boxes. All others should be set to the "OFF" position.
NOTE: The PTZ camera should be unplugged when adjusting the Dip Switch settings. New settings will be recognized with the PTZ camera is powered back on.
More than one PTZ Camera: Use the following chart to determine which Dip Switch settings will need to be adjusted. For example, to connect three PTZ Cameras, PTZ Camera #1 would have Dip Switches 2 & 8 set to the "ON" position. PTZ Camera #2 would have Dip Switches 2 & 7 swet to the "ON" position. Lastly, PTZ Camera #3 would have Dip Switches 2, 7, and 8 set to the "ON" position.
Feel free to contact us if you need to see the chart in its original size.
