There were numerous reviews & guides about fake Baltic amber coming from China. First of all, I would not have anything against them if they would not use word “Baltic amber” keyword in their item description.

What would happen if in gold section someone would sell you fake gold ring for your weddings? Would it still be ok for eBay to profit on such listing? There must be serious investigation regarding this matter. Please understand that raw Baltic amber material used in amber jewellery manufacture process is way more expensive for selling bracelets and beads for 0.99 US dollar cents, it is not a stone you can find in your back yard. Would someone buy large diamond stone and shape it to triangle, and loose half or more of stone of it in grinding process? This is ridiculous.

Here in eBay you can find any Baltic amber bead shape you would imagine for 99cents. Remember that there are no two beads alike, if there are then it is very high quality and very expensive amber. You simply cannot buy bracelet with a bee in every stone for a 99cents. This is simply impossible.

Once I have purchased a large scorpion keychain pendant even I knew it was fake. First impression was good, cheap & nice. But when I cracked the shell I found out these bugs are buried LIVE, what a horrifying smell it was… It makes me sick they kill all sorts of bugs in hot melting plastic… Trust me they bake amber jewellery like cookies, sell cheaper then a match box, and profit on shipping cost. Some sellers claim they mine Baltic amber in Africa. Do they even know that Baltic Sea is in Europe?

I do not have anything against Chinese talent. They do have “know how” plus cheap labour. But when you combine it with magical eBay marketing keyword system (vintage, Baltic amber, raw amber, authentic amber), fake title and description you get a giant monopolist monster pooling every honest GENUINE craftsmen with real Baltic amber jewellery out of its way.
